Yarn Weight Cheat Sheet
Some knitting patterns refer to yarn by its weight category (fine, worsted, etc). These categories are supposed to act as a universal yarn sizing system, but in my opinion they bring more abiguity than clarity. So I’ve created the below yarn sizing chart to demystify yarn sizing by drawing the connections across the various sizing systems.
Quick tip: The needle sizes listed on this chart are just recommendations. If your tension is tighter or looser than the average knitter, you should adjust your needle size accordingly.
