Brioche Lane Scarf
Introducing the Brioche Lane Scarf – a knitting pattern that perfectly marries the delicate softness of Soft Gratté yarn with the texture of brioche and garter stitches.

What you’ll need:
- 4 skeins of Katia Yarn’s Soft Gratte in color 70 (light ivory)
- 3.25mm straight needles
- Darning needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations:
- CO: Cast on
- k: knit
- p: purl
- sl1: slip 1 stitch (purlwise).
- brk (brioche knit): knit the stitch that was slipped in the previous row together with its yarn over.
- sl1yo: bring the working yarn to the front of the work, slip the next stitch purlwise, then bring the yarn over the needle (and over the slipped stitch) to the back. This creates a slipped stitch with a YO lying directly on top of it.
Gauge:
- 12 stitches = approximately 10cm in Brioche Stitch (unstretched) on 3.25mm needles.
Sizes:
- One Size, but the length can easily be adjusted.
- The scarf pictured measures approximately 38cm wide and 215cm long (unstretched). It can wrap comfortably around the neck twice.
