Bobbles & Lace Scarf

This scarf has heavy bobbles on the end that gradually fade towards the middle. The result is a scarf that sits close and comfortable against the neck, with plenty of fun texture at the tips.

The inspirations for this scarf pattern came to me in an airplane. How random is that?

Before flying I always scroll Pinterest and screenshot the stitch patterns that catch my eye. That way I’ll have the instructions at hand even when my phone is on airplane mode. For this particular flight I was looking for something fun and funky to pair with my newly-bought purple yarn.

Somewhere in the middle of an 8-hour flight, surrounded by swatches of lace and bobbles, this scarf came together. I did the stitch math in my head, made some notes on my phone, and that became the first draft of the Bobbles & Lace Scarf
